You Better get ready

We are only 4 weeks away from the first Florida Cyclocross race in 2007. It will be awesome! We have recieved more support for this years series than ever and the energy is high! Cannondale has donated a ton of race course marking tape and Chainwheel Drive has a bunch of snow fencing. This stuff is really critical to make the event professional and safe so we are extemely grateful.

Georgia Cross Series

I spent this past weekend, sliding around aq big hill in eastern Georgia. It was awesome! The Georgia Cyclocross Series rolled into Augusta this past weekend to the delight of many southern cross fans. It was cool and rainy and the course was as perfect a cross race as you could get. Short steep hills, some mud, a nasty barrier section that was uphill, some mud and a bunny hop transition from road to grass. These guys made an awesome course. Great support by none other than Waffle House and Cocacola. See what it's all about @ www.georgia-cross.com

Cross in Florida?

Well fortunatly, a wonderful photojournalist from the St. Pete Times decided to do a story on the 2006 Citrus City Cyclocross Series in Largo last winter. Heres the link to the story- Cross story

New and true

Welcome Cyclocross fans of Florida! This blog is dedicated to the access of information on the sport of cyclocross in the state of Florida. To those of you who think that cross can only be true in cold, wet, miserable conditions; sorry, we don't really have much of that down here. But we can still ride road bikes on the grass and slide around in the mud!

This year there are more races here in Florida than ever before. I'll keep you updated on the races and events in the state, as well as providing links to other cross related happenings. Keep it fo reals!
