Atennn-shun! Camp Murphy 'Cross is here

We're halfway through and feeling fine. Round 5 of the Florida 'Cross Series is Sunday, 1/6 at Camp Murphy at Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound.

What's the course like? I have no idea, so expect the unexpected. Any readers out there on the East Coast want to clue us in or will you keep some home-field advantage?

Registration starts at 8:30 and the racin' starts at 10.

For all the 411, click here.

Download the race flyer here [pdf].

Hi all

I did find the following info on the Camp Murphy message board:

Course, which can be opened in google maps or earth:

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&om=1&msa=0&ll=27.019449,-80.113614&spn=0.011718,0.018861&t=h&z=16&msid=105555319680254009911.00044143ad79c95fa1109

You can then compare it to this map, also found on the Camp Murphy site:

See you there

Hi all again. I also found the following comment after snooping around the Camp Message Board:

"It’s a 1.4 mile loop with a mix of road and off-road stuff north of the trailhead by the crit course. The off road stuff is mostly old shell rock road bed"

Sounds like a potentially fast course.
